Executive Director & Founder
Monica Lake, psD, NCSP, QS
My love for mental health matters and wellbeing grew out of my curiosity to understand humans. I dedicated my life to helping people as a psychologist, first working in schools and then working in a clinical setting. The barriers to accessing mental health services and the limited support services in our community motivated the start of A Nurturing Village. I wanted to create a space for all neurodiversity to meet and understand, accept, and help each other!
Program Director & Co-Founder

I'm a neurodivergent affirming therapist with personal and professional experience helping people understand their strengths and affirming their differences. As a parent of an autistic teenager, I have great sympathy for how difficult and at times lonely this journey can be. That's why I have designed and implemented a number of inclusive programs for individuals who are neurodivergent. I have seen these experiences validate and improve lives. I can't wait to continue this work with more members of our community.

After 15 years in Sales Leadership I took a step back and am currently staying home with my two daughters. Mental Health is so incredibly important to me and was a huge reason why I made the decision to leave the corporate world and focus more on my family and my personal wellbeing. I wanted to be an example that living a happy and fulfilled life is more important than any job. For fun our family loves going to the beach, swimming, playing with our puppy and having all the dance parties we can. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of something that truly matters and is making a difference in our community.
